|Title:||General Overseer of Small Groups|
Ruth is a native Chicagoan. She retired from a management position with a major tool manufacturer. She is a widow and mother of four. After graduation from Hyde Park High School, Ruth worked while attending college, ultimately earning her B.S. degree in Business Administration in 1979 from Daniel Hale Williams University, then located on Chicago’s Westside. Since then, she has continued to learn new skills; the latest resulted in her state certification as a nursing assistant.
Ruth accepted Christ as her personal savior and was baptized at Lake Michigan in 1975. She became a member of New Morning Star MB Church in December, 1978 where Dr. T.A. Clark, Jr. was Pastor. When Pastor Clark stepped out in faith to form a new church, Faith Deliverance Christian Center, Ruth and her family became Charter Members. During that time, she served variously as Sunday school teacher, assistant Church Clerk, Church Secretary, School of Ministry Servant Leader, and Ordained Deacon. Since the merger of Faith Deliverance and Light of the World International into World Deliverance Christian Center, Ruth has served as a member of the Education Ministry as Overseer of Trainings and Overseer of Small Groups. She was recently promoted to General Overseer of Small Groups and active Deacon and is excited about being a part of the continued mighty work that God has planned for His people.
